Mountain Fichtelberg is located in Saxony in Germany part of the ore Mountains. The altitude of 1214 m makes it the highest peak in Saxony. The advantageous border location makes it together with mountain Klinovec a popular winter sports center. The cable car leading from Oberwiesenthal to Fichtelberg is the oldest cable car in Germany.
